Does it bother you that the majority of people think that optometrists only prescribe glasses and contacts lenses, not knowing that we can diagnose and manage a wide array of ocular diseases? Are your patients surprised when you tell them we can see the effects of systemic diseases such as diabetes through an eye exam? 
An optometry student at University of Waterloo created a website with illustrations to promote public awareness of the services an optometrist can provide. Share this link with your friends and family and help change the perception that the general public has on our profession!
